Participants for Malaysia Day Dive 2014

Malaysia Day Dive 2014
16th September 2014

Divers collected 184.6kg of man made debris from Kuching historical wreck, the Katori Maru.

This year MDD saw an increase in participants from 14 to 30 compared to previous year. The debris collected also increase by 200% mainly abandoned fishing nets from commercial activities.

All the participants felt proud of themselves for been able to give back to the sea. PMSC also felt the same way as this is the third year in a role such activity had been organised. Furthermore, MDD is now becoming an annual event that divers look forward to and also the biggest marine conservation activity by local PADI dive centre in the State.
